Health Risk Assessments
MercyCare is pleased to report that we have moved our health risk assessment (HRA) program online. This makes it more accessible to all of our members. An HRA is a short, confidential survey designed to assess one's true health status by giving a "wellness score" and "health age" that reflects one's lifestyle habits and current health. A sample member report along with survey questions is located on the side bar.
Our HRA reports provide companies with information to assist you in understanding your workforce's health status and productivity. You will receive no individual employee data. The following reports are available to you at no cost when you have 20 or more employee's/spouses, who are enrolled in MarcyCare:
-
Executive Summary-Prioritizes risk factors and recommendations for health improvement programs based on the needs of the group.
-
Economic Impact Report-Determines your average medical claims cost per employee and compares those costs to the goals you have set
-
Group Summary-Provides graphical representation for nearly every risk factor, allowing you to easily view and fine-tune your wellness efforts.
-
Progress/trend Report-Illustrates the impact of your wellness efforts by showing changes and improvements from the previous testing periods.
Sample reports for all of the reports listed above are located on the side bar.
Please contact Mary Hesse at 800-752-3431 extension 3070, or directly at 608-741-5236 or e-mail at mhesse@mhsjvl.org for more information on getting a group report.

Use of Incentives
The more employees that take the HRA, the more accurate the report represents your workforce. We highly encourage our employers to offer incentives to their employees who complete the assessment. There are many types of incentives ranging from a drawing to health premium reduction. We will be able to provide a list of employees who have taken the HRA if you provide an incentive. Contact Ryan Pelz at 800-752-3431 extension 3035 for more information or e-mail at rpelz@mhsjvl.org.
